A chance to win Superbike tickets for Knockhill
A chance to win Superbike tickets for Knockhill

See what you're missing!!

You'll probably all be aware that Knockhill Racing Circuit in Fife are holding a round of the British Superbike Championship on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 July '09. I'm in the fortunate position of having been given, by Knockhill, two tickets for both days and I'd like to give them away free gratis...on one condition!

I'd like as many of you as possible to complete the on-line survey on the website. I'll take all the completed surveys' from the start of this years campaign until Friday 19 June and then a draw will be made to choose the winner. If the winner cannot use the tickets another draw will be made. I'll notify the winner by e-mail or telephone. Only one entry per applicant will be counted in the draw. What a great chance to win two tickets for you and a mate, or your partner, to attend what's sure to be a fantastic meeting.

But to this weekend. This weekend is likely to have some of the best weather of the year so far, with sunshine and high temperatures forecast for the Borders. Get the bike out the garage, check the tyres and levels, clean your visor and off you go - head for some of the countries best biking roads in the Scottish Borders and join us for "around the corner". We're here to help you get the most out of your time on the bike and to help you improve your skills and enjoy your rideout to the full. As I've mentioned many times in the past, we're not out to issue tickets, we want to give you the benefit of our training and experience and pass on tips and advice to help you work on improving your riding technique and skills. It's amazing what working on a small part of your riding can do to improve your day out. Whether it's observations, cornering or reading the road, talk to us and we'll pass on tips that will not only make things safer for you and more enjoyable, but will allow you to relax on the bike more and actually get more from your time in the saddle, which let's be honest, is what it's all about.

Have a look on our ROUTES page and choose a route or two that suits you the best. You don't have to stick to a route, but you can try hoping off of one onto another to reach your destination. The routes are all great biking roads and each one has it's own character with different aspects to enjoy. The main thing is to enjoy your day out and get home in one piece. You'll have a great day out and you'll make me a happy man if you all manage that.  Cheers!
