Easton: Successful Snetterton now set for Knockhill
Stuart Easton, Snetterton 2009
Stuart Easton consolidated his third place in the overall standings at Snetterton, but after finishing second and fourth he is still chasing that elusive maiden victory for the Hydrex Honda team. Easton though was thrilled to have banished the bad luck that has plagued him at the Norfolk circuit in the past and is now setting his sights high for his home round at Knockhill in two weeks' time.
Easton told the BSB website: "I am a little disappointed with how race two went to be honest but so far, of the races I have finished, fourth is my lowest position so I can't be too unhappy about that. I am still third in the championship and if you look at today only Leon Camier scored more points overall, with me and James Ellison scoring the same. I certainly can't complain as this time 12 months ago I was sat in Norwich hospital with a broken wrist and now I am in a strong third place in the standings.
"We made some changes in race two including a new clutch and although it wasn't wrong it didn't feel as good and it seemed to drag when I opened the throttle. I am feeling that this was another good weekend for the Hydrex Honda team and now we move to my home round at Knockhill in two weeks' time - I can't wait."
Our lucky prize draw winner, Paul Maddocks will be there and might just see Stuart win his first race of the season - let's hope so. We'll be there on a stand giving out free stuff, including advice and tips, but more of that next weekend.
This weekend is forecast fair, so get out and about and make the most of it. Don't get carried away though, remember the tips and pointers we've been giving out. Try and put a few of them into practise, I bet you'll feel the difference on the bike and see the advantages. Catch you next week, ready for Knockhill.
