Indian Summer - sun shining - bike out!

The end of a great day out.

Indian Summer - sun shining - bike out!

C'mon Stuart !!

Sorry for the delay - it's been a couple of weekends since I've had a chance to update the site, I hope you've not missed me.  We'll the recent bank holiday weekend was a complete washout, we only saw a handful of hardy souls over the weekend and only one brave chap who donned his waterproofs on the Monday holiday, braved the rain and headed for St Mary's Loch - well done to you.

This weekend is supposed to be much better and may be one of the last chances to get the bike out, before the weather closes in for the winter and experience some of our routes around the Scottish Borders. Overall the weather's not been too bad this summer, slightly better than last summer. We've had a good summer meeting and interacting with many of you along the way and at the various events that we've attended and organised. One thing that we have noticed is that there's not quite so many of you riding around in large groups compared with years gone by. You seem to be riding about in four's and five's as opposed to groups of 15 or 20. Don't know what that's down to, is it the credit crunch or have you all fallen out with one another?  If you've got an answer or a theory for this please post it on the forum and we'll see who agrees.

We'll be taking advantage of the sun this weekend and running the usual routes so if you see us come up and scrounge a freebie from us, you might even be treated to a cup of coffee/tea.

In closing - a final word about one of our friends, our local hero Stuart Easton. Stuart did well to finish 2nd recently in both races at Cadwell Park, he's now only 44 points behind second place in the championship. He's within catching distance of James Ellison, however Leon Camier seems to have the title sewn up. Stuart's got three meetings left to close the gap and we're all rooting for him, he can certainly achieve second place in the Championship with a bit luck.
