Only a week left to win your Superbike tickets

Only a week left to win your Superbike tickets

You could be here on 4/5 July!

There's only a week left until the closing date of Friday 19 June for you to complete our on-line survey and stand a chance of winning two free tickets for the Knockhill round of the British Superbikes on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 July. Complete the survey before then and you're name might be drawn out as the winner - who knows, give it a try.

On the subject of Superbikes, I'm sure you'd all like to wish one of our long term partners in around the corner, Dennis Hobbs, a swift recovery from the injuries he sustained at Thruxton last meeting. Dennis has been part of around the corner almost from the beginning and has given his support to a number of events we've held at Knockhill. A friendlier chap you're not likely to meet. Haste Ye Back Dennis!!

This weekend we'll be out and about as usual on the Borders roads offering up free advice and tips and the usual free stuff to those we meet. The weather however, is forecast to be heavy intermittent showers, so if you're out and about please come prepared. Watch out too for the changes in road surface conditions as it rains. Anticipate the problems you're likely to encounter going from a dry or damp road surface to one that has been rained on heavily - adjust your riding accordingly and give yourself time and space to react to the unexpected.

A gentle reminder of the Kelso Bikefest on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July at the Kelso Showground. This event has proved to be ever popular, attrtacting an audience from all over Scotland and the north of England. It's a chance to ride on great roads to a great day out - mark it in your diary.

I'll be back on this page next week with the winner of the Superbike tickets being announced - see you then. In the meantime stay safe and watch out for what's around the corner!
