Poker Run, Sunday
Hello again, on Sunday 13 June, it's the annual charity poker run in the Borders. This is one of the most social outings you can take part in over the whole year. Friendly folk, riding a mixture of bikes on some of the best biking roads in the UK. The weather this weekend is meant to be ok, with only isolated showers forecast on Sunday, so there's no excuse, get the bike out, pack your waterproofs just in case and come along for a right good day out on two wheels.
Registration for the run takes place at the Glen Hotel in Selkirk between mid-day and 1pm. Thereafter it's off to Hawick, Jedburgh, Galashiels then back to Selkirk for the prize giving and raffle draws. It'll only cost you £5 to enter. The money raised goes towards buying sports equipment for kids, so it's a good cause and you stand to win one of a great selection of raffle prizes including:- an in-car CD player, motorcycle jacket, motorcycle helmet, 2 person tent, ground anchor, shackle lock, a free MOT (x2), pillion grips, biker buddy, puncture safe and a box of biscuits to name only some of the goodies to win.....the list is too long for here.
