Prize Draw 2008 - Winners announced
October 28 2008
Time for a break at St. Mary's Loch
SEE BOTTOM OF PAGE FOR DETAILS OF WINNERS
First of all may we take this opportunity to thank all of you who took the time to complete our on-line survey and to those of you who completed the forms at the roadside and at events throughout the summer. It's your thoughts and experiences of biking in the Scottish Borders that count and hopefully by working together we can make each ride-out all the more enjoyable for everyone. We'd also like to think that the advice we've handed out has gone some way to making you better bikers and has helped to raise your level of skill and ability.
Anyway, to the main event - our partners and local businesses have very generously donated a number of prizes for this years draw. Due to the overwhelming response by them, we also intend to have several 'spot' prize draws at organised events throughout the 2009 season, including the Scottish Motorcycle Show at Ingliston on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March 2009. So, watch this space for updates and info!
The draw for this years prizes will take place on Tuesday 28 October '08 and will be made by Mr Peter O'Malley, the winner of our top prize last year. The draw will be conducted by Sergeant Kenny Brown from our Motorcycle Section and overseen by Sandy Allan, our Road Safety Co-ordinator. All individuals who completed our on-line survey and those who completed the form at events throughout the year will be included in the draw.
OK!, I hear your shouts of "GET ON WITH IT!", the prizes this year are:-
i) 2 individual prizes of a Supertrack Scotland Track Day at Knockhill Racing Circuit with multi British Superbike Champion, Niall Mackenzie. (donated by Knockhill Racing Circuit)
ii) A pair of tickets to the British Superbike meeting at Knockhill in August 2009. (donated by Knockhill racing Circuit)
iii) A new Shoei RAID crash helmet in the size of your choice. (donated by Eastern Western Motor Group).
iv) The opportunity for you and a biker friend to experience a ride-out in the Scottish Borders with one of our advanced motorcycle instructors, partaking in a demonstration ride with the opportunity for some practical advice along the way.
v) A motorcycle jacket - to replace the old one you keep promising yourself that you'll throw out.
Results of the draw will be posted here on Wednesday 29 October 2008. BEST OF LUCK TO YOU ALL.
