Throughout Central Scotland, there are a number of local eateries that offer some fine hospitality for bikers. Most noteworthy of these are:-
‘The Green Welly Stop’ at the junction of the A82 and A85 in the village of Tyndrum. A few miles north west of Crianlarich, it is a very popular ‘pit stop’ for motorcyclists, and from here you are spoilt for choice with routes leading towards Oban and Fort William.
There is a designated motorcycle parking area, fuel and a wide selection of food available at both ‘The Green Welly Stop’ and the ‘Real Food Café’ on the opposite side of the road.
The Burger Bar situated at the top of Glen Ogle on the A85, north of Lochearnhead, is also a famous bikers’ stop and heavily used at weekends during the biking season. This stop also provides you with a great opportunity to chat with fellow bikers amongst beautiful surroundings.
The town of Callander on the A84, northwest of Stirling is a favourite with bikers. Park up in the Meadows car park situated on the banks of the River Teith and sample some of the famous Fish ‘n Chips and ice cream.
